Join the Effort and Buy Recycled Paper Through the RPPC!
Saves Trees and Money!
The Recycled Products Purchasing Cooperative (RPPC) is a non-profit program that is committed to increasing the use of recycled paper nationwide. If your company, agency, or organization isn’t using recycled copy paper, then now is the time to look at doing the right thing. It’s good for the environment and might even save your company or public agency money.
The Recycling Association of Minnesota is joining the effort by serving as a referral partner. When you buy recycled paper through the RPPC and mention that you were referred by us, a portion of the proceeds return to RAM.
Currently, recycled paper represent less than 10% of the entire printing and writing paper market. This means that new trees are continually being harvested to support our paper consumption needs. The higher price of recycled paper has historically prevented most buyers from using it. The RPPC was created to close this price gap. It uses its collective purchasing volume of its members to negotiate reduced national pricing. Any business or public entity within the continental U.S. can have access to the RPPC's discounted pricing schedule. Membership is free-of-charge.
To date, members have purchased nearly 100,000 cases of recycled paper through the RPPC...saving the equivalent of 18,000 full grown trees, 5.3 million gallons of water, 3.1 million kw hours energy, and 45,000 pounds of air pollution. Members include: City of San Diego, Axiom Electronics, Union Bank, LSI Logic, Ionics, Texas Instruments, JFK University and many more.
Contact the RPPC at (800) 694-8355 or visit their website at www.recycledproducts.org to get a quote or for more information.
The RPPC is a program of Solana Recyclers, a non-profit organization. Program sponsors include: The S. Mark Taper Foundation, Union Bank of California, and The McCarthy Family Foundation.
