Our Programs
RAM performs a variety of programs every year to meet the needs of the recycling community as well as the general public.

Our activities include:

RAM Member Education
We educate through Recycling Forums, our Fall Conference and weekly e-mail bulletins with legislative and environmental news headlines.

Public Education
RAM helps to educate the public on the economic and environmental benefits of recycling through America Recycles Day and Recycling Works for Minnesota.

Monitoring Government Policy
RAM consistently gathers information on state legislation and other government initiatives for recycling policies.

Recycling Referrals
We provide referrals to recycling services and recycled products.

Connecting our Members
RAM connects our members to national recycling issues through our affiliation with the National Recycling Coalition.

Take a look at the links on the left margin for more information!

America Recycles Day
November 15th each year. For news about 2006 prizes and plans for 2007, please go to the national America Recycles web site at www.americarecyclesday.org.

Message in a Bottle
NEW! Our new "away from home" recycling program for plastic bottles, glass and cans. The only program of its kind in Minnesota and currently available only in McLeod, Carver, Wright and western parts of Hennepin county. We offer this service free of charge to gas stations, car wash facilities, and any other place that Minnesotans visit when they are away from home. It's hard to recycle when you are out and about in Minnesota. Our program makes it easy!
